ASCAT (Agile Strategic Capability Alignment Toolset) Agile systems design requires a formalised refocusing of the metrics of the organisation onto outcome-based Business Greatness criteria which are more constant in a volatile business operating environment. The traditional ADSL design of systems is frequently in response to Business Requirements Specifications which are geared to measure success using operating metrics which are not based on Business Greatness Outcomes or collaborative, transversal perspectives which means that, whilst they are relevant at the time of the BRS being drawn up, they will become irrelevant when the operating environment of the time changes. Thus the very first step in Digital Transformation should be to address this issue otherwise the design and implementation of any systems will not be sustainable.
